I noticed this weekend lower unit leaking.I looked closer and has a crack in lower housing.I wouldnt think its from water freeze I have had out everyweeked since late march and no problems.I did winterize before winter and changed fluids again before I took out for the first time this year.My question is this would this crack be a result of a impact. The lower housing does have some damage to it that wasnt there before. The only thing that has me wondering is I didnt hear my boat hit anything when I was in the water. I just want some opinions before I call my insurance company to make a claim.I sorry pics are not the greatest I took better ones but file too large to uplad on this forum

There is a drain behind the location of the crack and there should be a 1/8' drain hole near the bottom of the drain, usually on the starboard side. If water collected in the drain and the drain hole clogged, the water could easily freeze and cause those cracks.
