Hi ,just returned to Scotland from a trip home to Dublin Ireland, I called in to see my old friend who was upset having been told he was looking at approx $1000 worth of work to have his outboard problem solved, I asked what was wrong with engine and posted question on here with a new account for him .we had to go out for the day so the following morning I called back up and when we logged on we had a reply stating that the most likely cause of the problem would be a poor earth to cdi unit (common fault), 20 mins later engine was running like new and we were on our way to the pub to drink a toast to iboats and all its members the best and most friendly forum on the planet.
