Minnkota Copilot setup

I have a Minnkota powerdrive bow mount that I bought off of craigslist. Just as I was leaving, the guy handed me the copilot and remote and said "this goes with it." I used the trolling motor for several months and then decided to try the copilot. Problem is that I don't have any instructions. I can hook it up just fine, but can't get the remote to control the TM.

I changed the battery in the remote, so I know it is OK. What about the button on the side of the copilot. I assume it is some kind of programming button or reset.

I looked on the minnkota site and came up empty for a manual or instructions for the copilot.

Are these things plug and play or do I have to program the remote to the TM?

Anyone have the copilot instructions scanned in a PDF?

There is a learn feature for the remotes, Let me see if I can find tha manual for mine, as I don't remember the key strokes to do it.

I think you just hold in the little learn button, and press the constant on button on the remote.

Press and hold the learn button located on the side of the receiver. It will emit a continuous tone. Press any button on the remote and the receiver will beep 4 times confirming that it has learned the ID number of the remote.

I think the unit may be toast. I don't get any kind of tone when I push the button on the side of the receiver. The remote may or may not be functioning.

I wonder if it would be worth it to call minn kota for service? I may give them a try.
