Hi all,

I cannot seem to be able to identify the proper lower unit gear oil for
my 1989(?) 20 hp Evinrude Model E20CRLEND.

I have called several service shops and checked online and I get a different answer each time.

Does anyone here know what the proper oil might be?

Thank you in advance and happy boating.

Thats a '92 model

CR = Canada, derated
L = longshaft
E = 9, N = 2

An outboard gear oil around 80 to 90. (Not the typeC oil )

OK, Thank you very much. I was getting things like XPF XR and Hi-Vis.

I do appreciate it.

How do you guys find all this stuff out?

Have a great day.
