about a month ago i found 3 old outboards at a rummage sale.i brought them home and figured out only one was possible to save to use on my 12' v bottom.it is a 1954 sea king 5 i replaced the coils points condencers bottom seals and impeller with parts from the other 2 motors. I put it in a barrel and it runs great now but i have a problem withe the float working well. it is a cork float and it looks like some of it is missing and it does not close the gas all the way off now.the model number is 45gg-9015a serial 546729 i would like to ask for help in finding an exploded view of the carb or whole unit. also maybe some photos of what it should look like. i tried to research this motor the best i could and would like to be able to use it on my boat but dont want to smell like gas everytime we run it. any other tips or suggestions would be great also. thanks mike

Read the "Goodyear Sea Bee" post at the top of the page near the end regarding float replacement.
