Hi guys im new to the thread, i just have been curious, i dont know what my boat fuel usage is. I bought it from original owner about 5 years back it was 10 months old. It is a 24' Celebrity bow rider-inboard mercruiser 5.7 250hp Carb. I just would like to get an idea roughly of the fuel per hour usage or how it suppose to go for boats. if someone has something similar just so i can get a quick figure to have in mind. This is my first boat so im still sota new to this stuf.

She'll probably get right at 3 MPG at cruise. Say 3500 RPM. 2 MPG at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) and around 5 MPG at idle. GPH is around 20 for WOT . . .

cruise can be anywhere between 10-20 Gal/Hr
My twin 6`s would cruise at 7.5Gal/Hr combined @3000rpm 35mph
flat out and trimmed up (Edelbrock 4 bbl`s) @ 4700rpm 39Gal/Hr @ 63mph

I have a 5.7L 2 bbl, and I average about 4 gal/hr. This includes a mixed variety of no-wake putting along, and then 3800 rpm cruising. So as a crude guide, if i'm out on the water for 6 hours I use about 24 gal. of fuel.
