i bought a 155 Predator with an Evinrude from family. The boat hasn't been used for 3 years, so it has just been sitting there. Person we bought it from says he doesn't know much about the motor. We tried to start it using the earmuffs we got with it. the first couple times it clicked a few times, but nothing else. Now it doesn't do anything.

I'm not sure where to find a good manual for this motor. Any help as far as why it wouldn't start (remember its been sitting for three years, so we didn't exactly expect it to fire right up) would definitely be appreciated.

Remove, clean all cables related to the starting system along with their related components. This includes the battery terminals, solenoid connections, ground at the powerhead, etc. Tighten after cleaning with a wrench or pliers, not with your fingers if a wing nut is encountered. A loose or tight but dirty connection results in a voltage drop!

Sitting that length of time..... the carburetors are fouled. Clean and rebuild them.
