Hi everyone, just a note to everyone that I am a new member, and need some help with my motor. Was needing to try adjusting my carbs, hoping it would stay running when I shift into reverse to get boat off trailer. Have checked comp. 150 on 1&2 cyl 145 on 3. Carbs look like they have new gaskets on them bright red. Just bought this boat not sure of the history.Bulb pumps up tight and stays that way plugs all firing.Fuel pump is clean and the screen. No kinked hoses. Starts easy with a small amount of choke runs smooth, seems to smoke alot though, put in reverse and dies. Have to choke again to restart engine every time it dies. Warm motor up and put in reverse and it dies again same thing all over choke for an instant start run smooth put in reverse and die.I checked the plugs after I gave up at the ramp and they all looked very wet. Spark jumps like 1 inch though and is bluish white. Has champion plugs in it now. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust these carbs and where are the adjustments hidden? Totally stumped here, ty for any answers in advance...

really sounds like you idle speed is set too low. there are no adjustments to those carbs. you have an idle speed stop screw that needs to be adjusted. then after you get it running on the water, fine tune the screw.
