High test gasoline for smoother idling ...

From experiences ... would using 89 or 91 octane rated gasoline with an OB have anything to do with having smoother and/or slower idling ??

maybe adding a power booster? my dad said one time he tried this new gas form a different station he always uses highest preimum gas by the way. said that it idled slower didnt do any adjustments but it stalled

Your engine is designed to run perfectly on 87 octane fuel. It does no good to run higher octane and in fact additives in higher octane fuel can be bad for an outboard.

i thought that too at first too it wouldnt do anything. only thing i can put any faith in is the power booster
