This past weekend , while at the lake, I was crusing down the lake when my alarm sounded. I immediately shut it down, knowing this wasn;t good. I checked and filled the oil tank under cowling. When I went to restart, alarm sounds constintly. Water flow is good out of peehole, so I know water pump is working properly. Motor starts and runs perfectly. I had heard that the magnet might have fallen off of the low oil sensor into the bottom of tank. I had hit a couple of hard wakes right before the alarm sounded.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Is it a solid beep or intermittent beep, intermittent is oil . Yes the magnets do fall off inside the tanks on those motors, you can disconnect the wires coming out of the sensor and see if it quits. If it quits you will need to replace the tank.

Its a solid beep. A guy had told me that these models have a solid beep for oil or heat. Mine stays on as soon as you turn on the key. I unhooked the heat sensor wire and the beep stayed on. Then I unhooked the oil sensor wire and it quit. I think it must be my oil sensor magnet.
