I clean a few carbs during the course of the year. Decided to invest in an ultrasonic cleaner. Can anyone give me input on a solution to use?

Re: Carb Cleaning.

Didn't know they made such a thing for carbs. I wonder if you could use soap and water for it? I'll be watching your thread but don't listen to me cause I really don't know the answer. Rick.

Re: Carb Cleaning.

A friend fixes Honda V65 Magnas and similar has been using a 20:1 mix of water and Simple green. I have no reason to doubt that this will not work.
I am using this now and will report.

Re: Carb Cleaning.

Bought a new digital and heated unit off Ebay for around $250 inc shipping. Real hardened deposits need breaking up but the usual gummy deposits break down. Put the carbs in the tank and forget them for a while. The timer only goes up to 1/2 hour so need to reset for longer cleaning. Needs a longer duration timer I think. Carbs are clean at the end.
