After carb rebuild, engine racing

Recently took apart each carb and replaced gaskets with new kits. Re-installed the carbs and started the engine. Fired right up, but immediately running at high rpm + 2000. Let it run for 30sec and RPM increased to +3000, the engine was definitely racing, meanwhile throttle control was in neutral. Could not get it to idle down. Any suggestions? Pretty sure my carb rebuild is to blame but not sure where to check first.

Thanks

Re: After carb rebuild, engine racing

Ok, I have the Seloc manual and it says the initial low speed setting in each carb should be 3 turns. But the exploded view of each carb does not identify the low speed setting screw. I see a high speed orifice, an intermediate orifice, am I missing something? Not mechanically inclined and having trouble following the verbage used in the manual. Point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Seloc manuals generalise too much. As said get the specific manual for your motor. You will find it much easier to follow.
