Round Spindle or Square Spindle?

Guys!
Just need to replace my single axle. Would like to know which one you use, If needed to install new ones, square or rounded spindle. Square ones here cost $25.00 abd rounded one $15.00, There is any advantage once welded?

Depends on what the spindle is being welded to. A square spindle generally gets welded into a "U" shaped channel and they are generally 1 inch spindles. Round spindles get welded into the round tube. How would you get a decent fit with a square peg in a round hole (or vice versa).

I mean If you have to replace your complete axle arew you going with square or rounded spindle? Or it doesnt matter... Of course the galv tube must have same shape......
