I have a 1958 evinrude Lark that is putting excessive a mounts of fuel in exhaust when run in test barrel, when run in test barrel for 20 min. the top of water is covered with fuel and oil sludge. I have rebuilt carb, new points, condensers. I fairly new to outboards and was wondering if anyone might have a idea Thanks

Yep, and may be running rich in the barrel, too. You need to fine tune the high and low speed carb jets out on the water, at speed.
