Hi,
I have a 1979 Evinrude 150 that will not move.
Two weeks ago I took it out for the first time this year, and had problems with the trim being extremely slow, and it wanted to stick in the complete up position. Unfortunately, I told myself that Id look into it when I got the time, and just ignored the problem. Yesterday, after a couple hours of flying around the lake, the motor was stuck in the complete down position. I managed to get it out of the water, pulled a couple pins and was able to lift it high enough to get it home.
The (pump?) electric motor makes the normal whirring noise, so I think the pump is all right. I am not sure how to fill or bleed the hydrolics, so detailed instructions would be great.
Other than the hydrolic fluid being low, what would be other causes for this? I am not very good with boat engine terminology, so please explain what certain parts would be.
Also, is there a place where I can download the manual for this engine?
Thanks,
Alex
