OMC motor wont start

Well I picked up my 1993 Four winns boat today from the marina and they fixed all what was wrong with it, but they broke down and had to be towed in ! They say it just quit running and it had no spark ! They replaced the following because it made alot of noise the last time I was out : Gimbal Bearing, Outdrive Gasket seal, U-Joint bellows Oil seal and Transom shift cable assembly. So 800.00 later my boat still wont run ! It has a Mallory distributor that took a dump about a month ago, and it was under warranty so I got the new one set the timing and the boat ran fine ! Any help would be great because this is the last weekend for a while that I will be able to run the boat because I leave on the 11th for my Annual Training for the National Guard and I will be gone for 3 weeks ! PLEASE HELP !! Thanks !!

gotta start with the basics. check ALL wires, from battery to helm. make sure no corrosion, no loose connections. verify battery voltage. check fuses, coil wires. check the kill switch as well, make sure power is getting thru when key on.

Well Im out of daylight now but will do that first thing in the morning ! I just hope its not my distributor again, its not like you can just go down and get a mallory distributor off the shelf ! Thanks for your advice !!!

Ok I checked everything and found nothing wrong other than I had a marina replaced The things that I said earlier in my post. All I know is the motor ran fine but now it dosent ! I did notice this switch with a lever on it that sits on the side of the transom shift lever. When I take a srew driver a shove it in their and makes a clicking noise, I then try to start the motor and it almost starts, which before it would just want to start ??? Anyone that can help would be great !!!

most likely that funny looking thing is the "safety lanyard switch"(man overboard ). Should have some type of cord for it. kills the ign if you fall out of the boat

Dosent have one ! But I did notice this small button next to my key switch, and when I look behind the dash this switch goes into the key switch ??? Im not even sure what it is or what it does??? Now thinking back I remember when I was under Idle in a no wake zone I hit my horn and the boat just died ???
