2003 Checy Z71 A/C issue.....

First off, my a/c is cooling like it should. The problem I'm having is when you press the recirculate button, the light comes on but nothing happens. Normally you can hear the flap moving and the air coming out the vents will change noticabley. Now wheather you turn the recirculate on or off nothing changes other than the light comes on and goes off.

Any Ideas for any one ?

I have heard several times that the door motors give trouble. Although I've never done one, I wouldn't be afraid to disassemble one and check for poor contacts.

sounds as if the flapper door is stuck. some are electrically controlled, and others are vacuum. check the manual to be sure of the type, and you should be able to fix this easily
