Okay, let's start by all agreeing that this never should have happened! But, I let my brother use my boat and he forgot to take the key. So, he decided to hot-wire it - needless to say, the boat won't start now.

According to him, it did start - twice. But it will not start now, with the key or otherwise.

Any advice?

I don't know everything he did when he "hot wired" it but he probably fried the switchbox.
If he ran or touched 12VDC to any switchbox wires, I guaranteed it's fried.

Is this a 1904 model T engine or a 2009 mercury 350HP 4-stroke EFI? Without some specifics all of this is academic. How is it not starting? Does the starter work? Does it cmake clicking noises? If EFI, does the fuel system initialize?
