Thank you for posting this thread. As a vet of the Viet Nam era, I can tell you I've always felt funny putting my hand over my heart. Now I can proudly salute our flag without that weird feeling I wasn't doing it right.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the servicemen & women and naturally all of the vet's that have served our country.

I also felt funny putting my hand over my heart, so I have always stood at parade rest. Good to know I can now salute.
