No trim up

Suspected problem for no trim up was the soleniod as suggested on this forum. Replaced soleniod and still no trim up. I can raise the out drive (Merc) by jumping across the 2 main terminals. Next thoughts please.

limiter switch gone so you have an open circuit until you put in jumper?

Before you replace any more parts, I would suggest you take a look at the book.

To troubleshoot the problem, you will need a basic understand of the circuit.

Look, study and understand what makes the pump run in both directions and then see if the power is getting to the pump motor.

Sorry to hit you with the book, but to fix it, you need to understand how it was supposed to work to find out why it does not work.
