Gave up sleep for this....

Laying arround , trying to get to sleep , but the sweat just keeps pouring off . So I grab my pole and head to the beach to do some casting knowing it has to be cooler there. Didn't catch anything but saw an awe-inspiring sunrise and thought I'd share ! These are from my cell cam at Scussett Beach in MA. (East end of the Cape Cod Canal) peter

love the ditch, spent many a nite there.
last sept the blues and bass were blitzing all over the place, all day long.
then 6 foot sharks would drive em down for a while, really wild.

I love it when I'm on the water before sunrise and it comes up while I'm fishing. It never gets old.

Great pictures of the sunrise. I use to be out there at daybreak was always the time to fish.

ehenry -haven't invested in an a/c unit . ( Bought one for mom tho ) I'm on the 3rd floor in the city and the ceilingfan was going , but the humidity got to me . Then again if I had A/C I'd have missed this sunrise . peter

Don't worry about losing sleep. It is just like some other of lifes great pleasures: you can get waaaay behind and catch up in one night.

WOW! Beautiful pics! I absolutely love being on the water for a sunrise. We have gone down to Hilton Head Island for a week each summer the last 3 years and each week I only missed a couple of sunrise's. They just take your breath away!

That would absolutely make up for a little lost sleep!

Can't get that on the west coast. But on the other hand, magnificant ocean sunsets can't be had on the east coast.

Dang Peter! Those pictures are awesome. And you took them on a cell phone camera? Today's technology sure is incredible. And what more can be said that hasn't already on this thread regarding magnificant sunrises (and to heck with sleep, you'll catch up later).

I used my moto Razr - the picts don't need resizeing to post either .



Oh -boatboy just move to the outer cape ie Eastham/Wellfleet/Truro and you'll get both the sunrise and sunset peter

I hear that is the only place on the East Coast to see the sunset over the ocean! Saw it last year when we were up that way for vacation!
