Well i bought one of these fantastic boats. Great all around boat fishing family the whole nine yards. But.....

Does your boat sit so low in the back that the water is up to and over the outboard mounting ledge??? I was out in four footers yesterday and the water was just consitently flowing over. Thanks for a new bilge.. Also even when it is sitting the water is right up to ledge. Is there something i can do?

a pic for your reference. The water is just below the green line on the transom and water does come into my holes

I don't need the jack plate, by removing that how much weight would i loose?

also the boat is not overpowered it has a 115 on it and its coast guard approved for 175.

That can't be right. Assuming it doesn't have a lot of extra weight over the OEM configuration, I would take it to a trailer scale and have it weighed to see if it's water logged.

That depends on the type of construction but it's typically not a simple matter, especially if there is wood involved. Even verifying it often requires boring inspection holes through the floor. Search this site for similar complaints/issues but before I got bent out of shape, I'd check the overall weight as a rough guage...

well i don't think shes waterlogged, cut a small piece of foam out of the back in 3 spots and its as dry and that was even after it had water in the hull for the whole fishing trip yesterday.
