I have no spark on any of the cylinders. I was cruising down the water last season when i lost all spark. I had no warning, it was just like someone reached over and turned the key off. My first thought was the powerpack. I checked the ignition switch, and i disconected the rectifier with no luck. This made me even more certain it was the powerpack. I figured it wasnt the stator b/c i had no warning signs, the battery stayed charged and started fine. I was told your stator would just die while running down the lake. So... i bought a used powerpack on ebay, which came off a "seized motor" which had no waranty (it was only $14.) So now i have to decide weather to try another powerpack or try a stator, or maybe something else.

Buy a factory manual for the motor and begin the troubleshooting procedures. I would start at the key switch test.

The powerpack could, indeed, be bad. I've had them go out between uses of the boat - go out once and all is fine, try to start next time and nothing!

Beware of used ignition parts - they may be cheap but you have no idea just what you have unless you test them. Even then, often times you've puchased something that will soon fail.

I checked the key switch test. And what ever went bad went bad while i was on the water, not in between outings, if that matters. Thanks for all replies.
