Hello there i need help i have a 1972 chrysler 70hp outboard i realy know nothing about outboards but i am not stupid motor starts right up and idles great she wont come out of the hole half the time if it does take off she will only keep top speed for about 30 sec to a minute or so and then bogs down if you let off it will normaly catch up but not all the time i put a new coil on it and it helped some but this damn thing just frustrates me i believe its timed right the carbs are clean and she still only runs right half the time if im lucky any suggestions where i should start looking would help not many people work on these old motors around here thanks Jeff

Is there any type of fuel/air screw in your carb? It sounds like it needs adjusted.

the only air fuel screw i know of is in front of the carb and i adjusted it like the owners book said is there another screw on the carb besides the one by the butterfly? thanks jeff
