Hello all. I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello. Names Richard and I'm 24 and live in New Jersey. I've been around boats pretty much my whole life. I have 2 jet skis and am looking to get a boat. That actually leads me to my question.

A coworker of mine is looking to get rid of his boat. Its a 1977 Classic Manufacturing with a Ford small block V8, he says a 304 but I'm pretty sure its a 302. I actually never of Classic Manufacturing and was wondering if anyone here heard of it. He's wants me to take it for pretty cheap but i can't find anything on the company. Any help would much appreciated.

If that boat has a Ford V8 it very likely has an OMC outdrive which presents a problem. They have not been produced for years, were troublesome, and parts are now expensive and hard to find. If there is a big rubber boot around the outdrive it is an OMC. Buy this boat very cheap as parts cost and labor will drain your wallet.
