1999 AlphaOne Prop won't turn

Yesterday we had our 1999 Bayliner 1850 with MerCruiser 3.0L out at the lake, and my wife got into real shallow water real fast. I was swimming at the time, but I heard her hit something. The engine still runs fine, the prop will engage, but it doesn't turn. I first thought it might be a Shear Pin, but I cannot seem to find any reference to this model having a pin that can be replaced. My prop is pretty dinged up (has been since I bought it this year, but nothing too bad). I know I need to replace it now, since there is a small chunk missing from one of the blades. Any suggestions as to the "not turning" issue. Thanks in advance.

Thomas, hopefully you just spun the rubber in the prop and didn't tear up the gears in the lower unit. Try another prop and see if it works right.

I am a complete newbie here...How would I know if I spun the rubber as you call it?

Thanks,
Thomas

Try another prop on your boat. You shouldn't be lose to able to turn the rubber in the hub by hand. But the motor can very easily.

Will Do....Now I just to figure out the best prop. There are some many options, I am not really sure where to start. I looked at the stickies and help here, and I am even more confused now. I may just call Bayliner and see what they recommend. Thanks for all your help.
