The fitting and hose connect the fuel bowl top to a mid range circuit in the carb. The idea was to improve fuel economy at mid range speeds. Most people have disabled the circuit by placing a BB in the hose, effectively blocking both ends. If you need the fitting you will have to scrounge one from an old carb, should not be hard to find one, if you need one PM me an address and I will mail you one.

I guess I should have waited for the pic, I just mailed you the wrong part, you need a carb body, I sent you a fuel bowl cap with the other fitting on it. That particular fitting is pressed into the carb body. You could fill it with epoxy.

so you think it will be ok to plug the cap end with a bb and fill the where the fitting broke off with epoxy?

Yup, no problem, don,t stuff the epoxy in, you don,t want it to go into the carb. If I was doing it I would poke a little aluminum foil in the hole with a tooth pick and then epoxy. Actually I would change the carb body, but in a pinch the epoxy will work fine.
