1993 yamaha vxr 650 fuel problem.

Hi i have a 1993 yamaha vxr 650 that starves itself for fuel. I have allready checked the check valve, installed a new fuel filter, ran a new line between fuel tank and fuel filter( to bypass the fuel selector switch), new spark plugs and even ran seafoam in the carb to clean it up and the problem is still happening. I think my carb needs rebuilt is this the case??? I dummo. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Make sure your supply and return lines are correct. I bought mine used and the previose owner had them backwards. I rebuilt the carb and still had the same problem till i figured it out. I think you are supposed to choke it for a couple of cranks to get the fuel flowing. When you do that you should see the fuel fill up in the filter. If it does fill up but not getting into the carb check the low adjustment screw setting. If thats correct go for the rebuild. its not that hard if you pay attention to the to what your doing.
