just grab the plastic bowl with a large pair of standard pliers and unscrew it. the bowl is made of some pretty rugged nylon type material and is not really that delicate. clean the bowl and screen, check the O-ring, add a drop of oil to the O-ring and threads, screw it back on by hand so you don't cross-thread it, then tighten a bit with the pliers, run the motor to check for leaks.
