Evinrude 50hp not getting fire

I have a 50hp Evinrude (model 50173s & seriel E09720) that is not getting any spark. My local marine shop had me disconnect the sensor wires from the power pack and ohm them out. Since that checked out they said it was the power pack. After replacing that, I still don't have any fire at the plugs. Where do I go from here?

http://www.outboardbooks.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=models.main&year=1971&ID=128253 disconnect the black w/yellow tracer, that is the kill wire, see if you have spark. if so you need to check wiring harness and ignition switch.

Thanks for the advice. Which manuals would you recommend for troubleshooting (from the link you sent)? I was going to order a repair manual (Seloc or something similar) but not sure what the best would be. Will the service manual or owners manual contain wiring diagrams?

I ordered the service manual from outboardbooks.com today. I should be here by the end of the week. I am going to start with the tracer wire and go from there. I may be back with more questions next week.
