ns40c issues!

i recntly got a 91 nissan ns40c, when i start it it runs fine at idle and in nuetral, put it in gear and give it throttle it spits and sputters. but if you slowly give it throttle it will slowly get up in rpm's and run perfectly. i've replaced the plugs, new gas with corrrect oil mix, new fuel line, pulled and cleaned carb. i am at a loss! please help

Sounds like a lean condition. Check the carb again, and verify float settings.

i know u flip the carb upside down and set the float to level, but when people say level do they mean by bending the tab down till it sits level?

Yes, there are two tabs, one for float drop and one for float height. Basically, if the float is approximately parallel with the housing when inverted, the float height is pretty close. That's a typical field-check of float height.

A more accurate check it is to actually measure the distance from the carb housing to the underside of the float when inverted.
