Hello Boating Gurus,

Now that your ego's are stroked here is my question. I know I'll get the anti-Bayliners to chime in but hell all opinions are welcome. Do any of you know of any gotchas with this type boat? I have a chance to buy this style boat for $13,500 and get $10,000 trade in for mine. But since I don't know what are good and bad boats I will rely on you old salty types.

Sorry I'm nub, so not much help other than sight unseen seems like you getting a decent deal. All I know is what they taught me here in the forums, check the entire floor for rot and take her out for a 1-2 hour test run first.

I have a 1992 2452 great boat, you definetly want the 350 motor , the 305 is just not enough, these boats dont like weight on the stern, but you can carry 4 jerry cans of fuel on the bow with no problem..only problem I have had is leaky side windows, just pull them out and recaulk, about 1 1/2 hours per side, 2300 hours and no trouble, just stay on top of the maintainance, happy cruising:)

Actually one of my favorite boats in the small cruiser class. I very nearly bought one (we looked at 2 before we decided on the C-C) but the wife (and me too, really) didn't want a hardtop. Cabin and cockpit are both very well laid out for a variety of uses. I agree that you want a 350 if at all possible.

I strongly, strongly urge a survey. i went as far as having a Ciera surveyed, and the survbeyor found transom saturation from (in his opinion) an I/O cutout that hadn't been properly sealed at the factory. Otherwise, I think it's a good weekender for near-shore, protected waters (it's fairly light and doesn't have a very Deep-V).

Best of luck!
