PW2 and all those others who participated in a discussion I raise about my kid Hayden, and a problem with Central Auditory Processing, back in March 2005 and Feb 2006.....well here are some outcomes.
(I found it in 'search' but because I go thru a proxy it is hard to paste 2 links here)

Hayden is in Grade 10 this year and is an exceptionally hard worker.
Last week we got invited to the school for awards ceremony, and he got the excellence award in 6 or more subjects.

He didn't know it was coming, so the look on his face was great to see. But I want to stress, he only got there with a lot of hard work.

Now lets go back 2 weeks to work experience, where they all went out to a 'job' of their choosing for a week.
He wants to be a lawyer, so he got a legal office, with an older principal who really took an interest in him and gave him a wide experience.

The kid loved it, and he quietly said to me ....
"Dad, do you know how much a lawyer makes on 1 conviencing?? It's a hull of a lot!!"
He had a classic line about matrimonial too.....I near choked when he told me.
We just hope that he continues on in the same direction.

Anyway, Mother had to take a photo of him on his 1st day, and then she had a tear in her eye and "what am I going to do when our baby leave home"... .... I mean, what can a bloke say but, "we'll get a couple of Jack Russels".

Cheers
Phillip

It's so nice when kids turn out ok. It gives a parent a good feeling that you must've done something right.

It's especially true when you know they've put in the effort.

Looks like you've got a kid to be proud of...I know I've got two daughters and couldn't be prouder of each of them as well.

Good Job!!!

You have earned the right to be a proud papa.

I'm glad he isn't wearing Dad's "So Many Lures" T-shirt in the photo. :D
