I brought the boat to the launch tonight to set the timing at WOT. It was already spot on. The 3 dots line up perfect with the line at WOT. When I went to set the throttle pickup timing i got stumped. The seloc manual says to align the 2 dot mark on the flywheel and see if the line on the cam pickup aligns close to the roller on the carb. It does not and cannot (as far as I can tell) be adjusted to do so. Even at idle the 2 dot mark is advanced just barely past the timing mark on the starter housing. If I were to adjust the idle speed screw low enough to make it do so, the motor runs too slow and stalls. I do not have a tach but it does not sound to me like the motor is running too fast at idle. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch.
