what is this hose for

it goes into the bottom of the cover on the carbs mabye oil come in the hose was kinked i was wondering would it make the engine not rev up to full trottle under a load or in the water 1972 evinrude 65 hp selectric thanks

That hose collects any fuel that may drip from the carburetors and sends it into the intake for burning instead of letting it drip into the lake and foul our waters.

It has nothing to do with your motor revving up or not revving up.

ok thanks im new to boat motors but it will rev great out of water but under a load in water it will not rev up compression is good spark seems ok but seems like it just will not take the gas
