Gimble Housing

I have a 96 volvo sx outdrive and I need a Gimble Housing. Does anyone happen to know where I can find a used one?

You might be able to find one on ebay or craigslist.

Is yours so broken such that you cannot just fix it?

Hmm, That's REALLY over and above......

I have a Miller Synchrowave 180 and I'm pretty good with it, but I'd still just probably buy another gimbal ring

I should have said I had a friend do it. I'm a puddler but I do all my SS. I just finished a SS riser/baffled exhaust system fully water jacketed.

Now this is definitely a thread hijack!

SS is VERY easy to weld with a GTAW!

You have any pictures?

The housing is really busted up pretty bad, close to fifty pieces, none of which are very big.

I did try ebay and found a cobra gimble housing, but I was told it would not work.

I am about to try Craig'slist

I do see a Volvo transom on ebay once in a while. People don't pull them out of boats all that often.

You may have to try one of those boat-bone yards....

A google search for "boat wrecking yards" produced a lot of hits.
