further to this engine. The serial number is 7122065 so as far as I can tell I believe it is a 1985. Does this help. Thanks again.

carburator mounting locknut - 80 in lbs
center main bearing lockscrew (3) - 42 in lbs
center main bearing reed stop screw - 22 in lbs
coil terminal nuts - 30 in lbs
connecting rod nuts - 15 ft lbs
crankcase to cylinder block - 95 in lbs
cylinder block cover - 90 in lbs
exaust outer cover - 70 in lbs
flywheel to crankshaft - 35 ft lbs
powerhead to driveshaft housing - 80 in lbs
reed block clamping screws - 25 in lbs
spark plugs - 20 ft lbs
stator mounting screws - 30 in lbs
transfer port cover screws - 45 in lbs

Again I am back in this forum looking for some info on a mercury marine 110 9.8hp engine.Year 1985. I am trying to time this motor and do not have a book or know if this motor can be timed. When I took the the engine apart and the flywheel off the magnetic strip on the inside of the flywheel was removed. Does the positioning of this strip effect the timing of of the motor. Any info on how to go about timing the engine or where I can aquire a manual would be greatly apperciated. Thanks again in advance.
