Well I've done it again...... Another project boat for me to fit in with all my other projects. I wasn't looking for 4th boat but it look cool. I don't know anything about the builder.Do you? The seller told me the guy he bought it from said it was a Ca. Fish and Game boat in the 50's. It runs but needs reed valves I was told. I paid $600 for the boat and trailer both are registered. The engine ser.# is 35525- 07679 I don't know the year or hp ? are the reed valves hard to replace? Thank You

Cannot tell you anything about the boat except that the design looks later than 1950's. My guess is 1960's especially since your motor's model number 35525 makes it a 1961 Evinrude 40HP. Those old motors had stainless steel reed valves and did not fail too often, so be skepical of ANYTHING the previous owner said.
