1985 Force, best prop?

I have a 1992 Bayliner Capri, 17', pushed by a rebuilt 1985 Force 85. I slightly bent one blade of the prop this weekend, and the local marina says its original. What is you guys' opinions on the best replacement prop for power for my setup?

That boat originally had a 13x19 propeller. If you want a better hole shot, go to a 13x17.

On the propeller forum, they can do an analysis and tell you the best prop for your application. However, that requires rpm readings at 500rpm intervals up to WOT. I don't think you want to do that with a bent blade.

My boat, which is similar, came with a 13 x 17 aluminum prop, with a WOT of 5500 RPM.

So, when you're referring to hole shot, you are simply referring to the time it takes from sitting dead in the water to getting completely up on plane...correct?

An improvement there sounds great, but should I move to a 13 x17 as you say...will I lose top speed in favor of (for lack of a better word) hole shot torque?

Oh, and one more thing, what brand is you guy's favorite for 13x17 props? Ive been reading reviews but you know how it is online...no matter what it is theres people who LOVE it and people who HATE it.

you won't lose much top end, if any, as the motor will be turning more rpm. maybe a mph.

Michigan Match props are decent and probably a little better than the stock.
