VP B30/270 help

[KIPU]

Helo sverybody!
I am a proud owner of a boat with stern drive b30/270 !
Last two years the boat sits in the yard and I took it with a lot of water in machine department.
Now I started repairing it but it is so difficult to find a repairing manuals for the engine.
I forgot to say that I am for Bulgaria,EU.
Please help me with any kind of information.
Now I started to remove the out drive and I want to rebuild also the engine
Any advise is welcome!

Welcome to Iboats!!

In this link there is a link to the manual for your outdrive posted by Don S. Thanks as always to Don. The engine manual in the link however is not for your engine.

B30 is a volvo automotive model, not marine. We need an AQ# to make sure you get the right engine manual. Do you have that? Also the year of the boat could be helpful.

Maybe some pictures would help if you can't find anything else.

The engine is AQ170A.
Q: Do I need to take off the out drive to remove the engine from the boat?
Q: What is the best way to take off the engine?
I also need a manual.
Is there any information about where I can order the parts in Europe?

You don't have to remove the complete outdrive, just the upper gear box, that way you can access the 6 bolts that connect the engine to the transom shield.
Removing the upper gear box is fairly simple. Look at this thread.

I have no idea about parts in Europe.

I will say, the aq170 was a unique engine with parts that may be hard to find. The exhaust manifold comes to mind. I saw it was still available from volvo for $2700 US Dollars.

The manifold is the first thing I would get checked out. If the boat has been in salt water, chances are it's shot.

Volvo is a European company, so you may actually have an easier time finding some parts.

Then do some Google searches for your area.

Before the engine was flouted , the problem was that when I put it into gear I feel a push in a out drive and the engine stops.
Q: What could be the reason for this?

And is it possible to change a electric - mechanical lift with hydraulic one .
Witch kind of hydraulic lift will fit on 270 out drive

Sorry, can you reword the question? Not sure what you're saying. You put the drive in gear and the engine would stall?

I guess anything is possible but not a practical modification. Volvo did produce a 270T model with power trim but you would need to change the entire outdrive and transom shield.

When I put into gear the engine immediately stops
