"yes im a nerd," might be why you learned so much about outboards this summer. atleast you get off your but and get outside, and make something of your time.

without the education, life can surely suck.

i was a building contractor, and my son worked summers. at the end of one of the summers, i asked my son "do you want to work with your back or with your brain?" from then on thru College his grades greatly improved. Now he is an Engineer, and works with his brain.

(but, he still likes to get out and get his hands dirty)

My school year doesnt start for another about another week or so. I will be a 11th grader, which means I have to do really well in school so I can have a good chance of making it into the Naval Academy.

coolguy147- Don't worry too much about being a freshman, I know at my school freshman dont get messed with, so I hope that your school is the same.

Make sure you get your elevator pass!

We used to tell the freshman that they needed a elevator pass or they won't be able to get to their 4th period class. Most wouldn't fall for it, some it would invoke panic for a few minutes.

Then we would tell them not to worry, just go get one, its in the office next to the pool.

We didn't have a pool, and the school was all one story.

9th grade isnt too bad... but you realy gotta start takeing school seriously now, or atleast get decent grades.

Next monday i start my juniour year. It will go quick as i spend 3 months in school and the rest of the year in vo-tech working on cars.

Keep some lunch money in your shoe and some in your pocket. So when the older kids pick you up by the ankles and shake the money out of your pockets, you'll still have some left.

At my school the lunch money is electroic and your parents pay over the computer. you pay with your fingerprint. Better keep your hands in your pockets, or you may loose a finger

The wife brought home the official rule book for her school today and I liked alot of what it said. Heres a few..Cell phones off at 715,,not on till 215. Caught with one during the time period and its taken the first time and parent has to come and get it. The second time means one week till the parent can come and get it and the third time means.SATURDAY in school detention and or lost of car permit if they drive to school. Another good rule is the doors are locked at the final bell and kids are locked out and must report to detention for the class period. Be late 4 times and its SATURDAY detention and or loss of car permit for rest of the year....no exceptions...also if they miss over 10 days of school every hour over that must be made up during Saturday school...I love it cause I think the worse thing you can do to a high school kid is take away his saturday.

*SIGH*......I wish I were going back to school. I was just thinking about it the other day when I was getting my kids & wife organized for starting back to school. That first week back on college campus after being gone the whole summer was terrific. Seeing friends you haven't seen in a while, getting geared up for football season, meeting new friends, and the best part, NO RESPONSIBILITIES!!!!

Instead, I'm sitting here at work getting ready for my next meeting, with at least 3 more today. On top of that I'm tired because I had to come in last night and give someone on the night shift a reprimand........

only class i like is my electic american musical theater man i cant really sing. my friend got kicked out and im with upperclassmen. dont know what im going to do have no one to talk to. yet there is this one girl named rachel? i was thinking about switching to anatomy think the class is called

I hated math in school. Now I like it in life. I learned that if you have 4 crab apples and you eat 3 crab apples, then you get 1 case of the scutters.

Kobie, you can also look at the Merchant Marine Academy, it is the 5th military academy. cool program also.
CoolGuy, gonna pick on ya, 9th grader," i can do good this year" Its do WELL" , practice and get your grammer down, it will carry you through college.
