force 125 id

i've just bought a cheap boat.Ha Ha can any one tell me a way to id a 125 force engine with the tag messed up.also the engine dosent flow water while running i have replaced the water pump and seals. when the lower unit was off i attached a hose to the transfer tube and water ran from the telltels and out the exaust but after reassembly still no water flow during engine run any ideals thanks for any help with this.

Post a pic of the cowling and the motor.It's possible to tell what year from that.
Also ANY info would help,like if your running it on the hose or in the water.When you hook up to a hose the amount of water might not be enough. It shoud be coming out somewhere.Put it in the water and run it.J

OK I'll try to post a pick but I'm new to this stuff but I will figure it out . I'm currently running it on a hose with a water pressure of approx 50 psi. any ideals on building a run tank, nearest lake about 50 miles away and trailer is currently getting new brake system installed.I appreciate the help, I'll try to gey the pick the first thing when the sun gets up.
