Cold this morning, boating about done...

Live in Northern Missouri (almost Iowa). Got up early this morning, got outside and about fell over. Temp. was 45 degrees F. Todays high (if it gets there) forcasted to be 70. Next few evenings supposed to get back to low 40s.

Time to start thinking about the fall tune up and winterizing everything, YUCK.

I think I want to move...

it seems that way to me too. but it shouldn't be this cool, this early...
SE nebraska todays high 77, low of 44 tonight, 72 for a high tomorrow...

i think i'm gonna sleep onboard tonight... i'm prepping now and think i'll bring some warm cloths.... i've never overnighted before at 44*... should be a cool (pun intended), new experience... i hope..

Oh Bubba, you'd never make it in Canada. I don't plan on pulling the boat out of the lake until Thanksgiving ( late Oct. for us ) Hope I don't have to chip the ice off.

High today is about 70 and Sunday is supposed to be only 67... Already have the winter storage set up, now start getting the stuff to winterize both boats.... where the crap did the summer go>>>>>?

one of the best trips I can remember was canadian thanksgiving, second week of oct 3 years ago
hit a storm with 3-5 swells put in at a dock in one of the marine parks on our lake, windy and stormy all night.
next morning woke up to sunshine 4 degrees C and the snow line approx 500 feet up the mountain

We didn't really have "summer" in my area. June was the rainest on record and July set an all time low temp average. I think we *may* have hit 95 one time but temps ran in low 80s on the warm days. Sheesh...

We did not either. I think that this July was 3rd coolest on record.... Figures the year I buy a new boat, this would happen. Plus this was one of the wettest summers I can remember.

Yesterday got home from work it was 102 I jump in the pool then got a drink and sat on the patio had dinner. It was so nice I slept outside but woke up at 6:00am. and it was 65 degrees.

Same here, it was a balmy 80* at 4am on the river this morning, by 9 it was into the 90's. Supposed to be 108 today...

92 here today, and of course with about 95% humidity as well... just miserable...

Can't wait for our week of cold at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb. LOL

It was a bummer summer here as well, I plan to boat for another month, just putting all type of coats and warm stuff on, I can't remember a summer this cold.
I wish ALGORE would send some global warming to the good ole' Midwest.

we set records in both july and august for low temp... july we had a night where it was 39*, and 2 days ago the low was 40 and yesterday 42.

It was 91 today, with an overnight low last night of 65. It was a beautiful day, but unfortunately the water was too choppy to enjoy. We were kind of bummed, as our daughter goes back to college on Monday, so this is our last weekend to enjoy together. The other two are already back in school and focused elsewhere. You can definitely sense the change coming on. I really enjoy the fall after the blistering 100s we have been having, but it does end the boating activities.
