Evinrude 90 engine housing - lots of light blue fluid

Hi,

I am new to the boating thing and am curious about a fluid i've found in the engine housing. After buying the boat i had an oil leak due to dry rotted lines. All lines replaced and based on usage (oil level) and examining water, i am no longer leaking.

But i have noticed recently a light blue, kinda thick consistency fluid all over the engine compartment. It is lighter in color than the actual oil i use for the boat. Its consistency is lighter than the actual oil too. It is almost like the oil is mixing with something to thin it out, then leaking. It does not smell of fuel and (dont laugh) isnt flamable when on a rag so i dont think its fuel.

Is this normal? Can someone help me understand what this fluid is? Could it be residual from the nasty oil leak i had up until a couple months ago?

Thanks.

Does more oil appear when engine is running? I would flush out cowling and check all lines for leakage.

No oil leakage in water and based on oil usage i have no leak. I've checked all lines, in fact had them replaced (all oil and fuel lines) to repair initial leak.

Most likely left over oil from orginal leak. Keep your eye on it and see if it does't clean up.
