Hi this is a boat that my father had back in 1978 or 79. It was used at that time. Would love to find out the make of this boat. Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks Aaron

Re: Classic boat identification?

Oh I wish I could. We don't have the boat anymore thats why i'd like to maybe find another like it. I was practically born on this boat as did my love for the water and boating. I know it was probably not a very expensive boat as my father never bought the best but it would be kinda cool to have one just like it again. Just wish i knew who made it.. thanks for the info. i'm gonna try to dig up some more photos.

Looks liek it's from the early to mid sixties. There are lots like it cheap on Craigslists in cities on the coast; shop around and you may find your pictures, even the same boat! Also look around the boat restoration pages.

It's such a typical boat that you are bound to find one similar even if a different brand.

Thanks guys, I'll be keeping my eye out on those sites. I d love to find the same boat. That boat there I've seen before. It has very similar lines. I asked my dad if he knew what make it was and he said he didn't even know back then. No surprise there lol thanks again everyone

if you could find a picture of it from the side,it looks like it has some kind of emblem on the back corner
or if you can read the the numbers on the bow(under that beautiful hood orniment :)) you could check it with the DMV of DEPT. OF NATURAL RESORCES they mite have records of it.

Thanks again for all the help. I have come across many that look very simliar. Still looking for more pics. I think there are a few pics hanging around somewhere that show the side which would be veru helpful at this point.

My dad had a boat in 1960, and the name brand on it was a NEWMAN. It was pink and white, with a 35 hp GALE engine

I swear i've looked at a ton of pics. There are alot of similarities but not quite the same. On this one you'll notice that there are those raised areas on the bow. Thats kinda what i'm using to find the same one since I have not seen any boat that has that. Not giving up though. The world wide web is huge.
