Re: Dust Storm
It was something out of a future world LF.
Broken Hill, (way way south west from here) in the daytime, went blacker than night....no stars or light of any kind.
Sydney went completely red with very low visibility.
Here it went dull white then yellow.
We are 1,000 km from there, so it was huge.
Visibility got to less than 100m. We had to wear masks outside and at one point just about had to wear them inside too.
I knew something was up when I saw Hayden's solar garden lights on mid-day.
Today there is a layer of dust on everything....it seemed to come around the doors and windows.
The university team studying it reckon between 4.8 to 5 million tons of dust moved over us in 10 hours, and I see the news showing satellite pictures of it and it is 1,000's of km,s long.

I can understand how the world would fail in a matter of days in a nuclear winter....everything growing just immediately dies. You want to see the red film on my new tunnel house....it has probably created about 60% shade so we are washing what we can off....comes off easily....just dissolves....and it's red, and it will stain.
Very interesting experience.......they reckon we could get another in a few days.
Cheers
