replaced impeller not pumping water 115 merc

i replaced the impeller on my 82 115 merc the old was bad i put in the new one and it's not pumping water out the top. 3 times i took off the lower unit in case something was over looked but still nothing. what could be the prob? the only thing i can think is the hole 4 pumping the water is clogged. any other thoughts?

A squirt up the pee hole from a garden hose, or a probe with a wire while running might make it flow.

use some weed wacker line in the tell tail hole to loosen anything then run water through it. you could also take the lower unit off and use the air compressor in the tell tail hole to blow it out. if that doesnt work you might have to take the water jacket off to remove the clog

when you replaced the old impeller, were thare any chucks out of it?

There's a little key between the shaft and the impeller. Didn't lose it, did ya?

'nother thing to check is the seals on the delivery tube, both pump and power head end.
