Got an email from a fella who wants to trade his 22' Starcraft CC for my item. I'm pretty sure the combined boat, motor and trailer weight will be more than I want for my car.

Here's his ad.. http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/1393323512.html

The guy says if I don't take the trade, that he'll just scrap the Starcraft for the aluminum price. Sacrilege!!

Any ideas on how much a 22 footer might weigh, fully rigged?

Don't be pressured by his threat. Might just be a tactic to get you to deal. Either you want it or you don't.

I have to assume that the floors and transom are shot at that price. Tell him you will give him $375-$500 with the center console and steering. With no motor and no trailer you are going to have to spend a pretty penny to get this one back. It does look really nice in the pictures however.

Nah, I already told him no.

He sent me an email saying that the hull alone is about 1060 pounds. So with motor, gear, trailer, fuel etc., I'd be up to a weight that is more than I want.

I'd hate to see a Starcraft end up getting scrapped though. Maybe somebody else on here from this area can pick it up for cheap.
