I got all the old out today will post some pictures in an hour. The old omc king cobra cut out has two extra holes at the top above the top of the new outer alpha plate. These two holes will be exposed so I need to seal them.
What should I seal them with? Also the transom looks great no rot of any kind and when I pulled the old omc off it was sealed with 5200
should I use 5200 to seal my alpha? I have one of the rubber ring gaskets on it now.

I normally drill them out to 5/8" Epoxy in a 5/8" dowel rod with about 1/2" on each side open. Then fill with waterproof epoxy on both sides.
You can match the gelcoat as best you can.
As far as the gasket goes. No need for 5200. Install a NEW gasket ring on the transom plate and install. No sealant required.

While no sealant is required on a NEW seal. A small bead along the inside curve of the new seal sure wont hurt anything.
