engine alignment problem.

I got the engine in and transom in on my merc swap. So, I put the bar in and top grease is groved bottom is scraped off. So I lower ( per this thread http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=319407&highlight=alignment). repeat same results ... 15 times later no improvement. I am now about 2 threads from the bottom and still scrapping. what am I missing. I put the fiber washers in and all the items according to the merc skematic.

Also, the gimbal is new but I got it aligned.

You should have been raising the front, not lowering.

yes. yes I should ... she is one now and just slides in.... thanks. I hope fisherdan gpt the same result
